Hi friends,

I know thwere is a lot of postages about this, but I realy need advice...My Dr. give me DMSA 65mg every 6 hours 3 times a day, nothing during nights, for 3 days and then take urine 6 hours for test, He ordered hair analysis to DDI and also I have to do a stool test with great smokies, but I have been reading in this list about the danger of separate doses, (more than 41/2 hours), so my principal concern is about this, also he mention that he want to start DMSA/ALA together, he said that he thinks doses around the clock are to much for little kids. What are the risks of doing this protocol? Where can I find DR, Holmes protocol? Andy's protocol?

Finally If somebody can give me the complete program of minerals that my son can get before chelation and during chelation, I'll be always greatfull. my son weight is 56lbs,

Thanks for being here!!

My dear,

I hope you hear from Andy and soon!! the instructions your doctor has given you are all wrong and will most likely harm your child more. Have you begun treating with the DMSA yet? Please don't do anything until you have learned more about the best way to chelate. My own 2 cents ( as someone who has been successfully chelating her 8 year old daughter for 6 months ) would be: begin the DMSA with a very low dose: 25mg EVERY 4 HOURS (day AND night) for 3 days and then rest for a period at least 4 days in length (I am now resting my daughter for 11 days). If your child seems aggitated or stressed, lower the dose even more (I actually started with 10 or 15mg I think and then increaed and stayed with a 25mg dose for a while until we managed to up it to 50mg over time. Now that we have just added in the ALA, I have again reduced the DMSA back down to 25mg.) Be gentle. Be consistent. Be patient and kind and treat your kid with the love and compassion a poisoned person deserves.

Sending you my best wishes for a smooth chelation,

p.s. Lose the doctor

,

Thanks for your response,

I think I gave you wrong information, actually, the protocol described was only to do a challenging test, I think; Because after do

65 mg, every 6 hours only 3 times daily for 3 days and then taking urine sample, I was told to wait the urine analysis results to determine the protocol to start chelation...Does everybody in this list do a challengign test before chelation ? is this neccesary ? I am very confused! What test and WHEN are better to do? Before or after start chelation?

Please help!!! I don't want to harm my child!!

A challenge test is unnecessary and contains no useful information.

A challenge test is usually a higher dose than one would give ordinarily give so side effects can occur from too high a dose. That is why I don't like challenge tests. I didn't really do one. I started out low and saw some lead. I noticed improvements and I have only done two rounds. If you don't see mercury right away remember mercury is not the only bad metal. Lead ,

arsenic etc. are very bad as well. Sometimes I think these other things are removed first and then mercury. Some people see mercury right away. It all depends on what your child was exposed to and also there is a question as to how tightly bound it is.
