It's really hard to give up an animal. If you aren't a cat lover, it wouldn't be easy to understand.

I agree. We have a dog, even though 3 people in the family are allergic

to dogs. She's not a possession we can give away: she's a family

member. She's learned to accept frequent, frequent baths, for which

she knows she gets treats. I don't know if you can get a cat to put

with such foolishness, though.
