Guest guest
Thanks, you are right. I have been pursuing it and following up with all the drs, tests, and recommendations I have been given. Finally I think I am starting to feel better, after all the breathing treatments, reflux meds, and I am just finishing a zpack for what I think was a touch of bronchitis or some infection. I am wondering if I had an upper respiratory infection all along that was making me feel terrible and no dr ever found it because my lungs sound clear and I don't wheeze. I think you when take meds that force your airways to stay open, it maybe can mask these kinds of tell-tale symptoms when you are actually sick. > > Don't give up!! I can not understand why your pulmo thinks asthmatics only wheeze. Sometimes they just cough. Have you had a methocholine challenge? That is the definitive test for asthma. If you have asthma it will show up on this test. I never wheezed when my adult onset asthma started-I just coughed and was short of breath. My pulmonary function tests were normal but when Ihad the methocholine challenge the asthma showed up plain as day. Fast forward a few years and no I do sometimes wheeze if I have a virus. The point is: you know your body. Persevere until you get answers. Wishing you good luck and good health! >
