Guest guest
To list members: The purpose of this note is to update an invitation made yesterday to join our new group that is concerned with using real time Z-score information (to inform the conventional feedback process in real time or, perhaps, using Z-score information itself as a training parameter. Since yesterday, I have learned how to add a link here to greatly simplify the process of joining. See the link at the end of this note. While it is much too early to tell, Z-score training may represent one of the waves of the future of neurofeedback training. Only future clinical experience and research will determine the magnitude of the wave, but such training and future iterations of the approaches MAY may help us increase neurofeedback efficacy and efficiency, perhaps making what we do both more effective and cost-effective. It may also be that such approaches will decrease the probability of brief, unintended, negative side-effects. But thus far such thoughts remain only speculation. While the list was only started yesterday, a few clinicians who are already using this approach have already been generous enough to post on the list about their experiences to date. If you know of people using Z-score approaches who may not be on this list, please share this note with them and ask them to consider joining. And for people like myself who have not yet started using this approach, my hope is that the list will provide information that will enable all of us to learn more, to collectively assist with critical thinking about it, and to brainstorm (yes, I know) about ways in which these approaches may help us all do better what we do. So, please consider joining us. The link below should make it easy. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/zscoretraining/join All the best, Steve
