Guest guest
How many of you have wheezing after you eat a meal? I'm noticing this more and more but don't get it why after a meal? Hoping to get some insight on this one Terry I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. Guest guest
Terry, I'm glad you mentioned the meals. If I eat a regular meal, like everyone else, I feel bad for about an hour. I have discovered if I eat several smaller meals a day I don't have this problem. I do not wheeze, but feel like I am going to have an asthma attack. I think maybe that's why we have acid reflux with asthma. I don't know but I would like to hear others on this subject. This group has really been helpful to me. Guest guest
Well I'm glad I helped someone today LOL, just kidding, you guys/gals help me all the time. My numbers have been in the yellow for over a week, for the life of me I can't figure out why. I was prepared for it when I had my wisdom teeth and while taking the pain meds, but it really didn't bother me. Ohhhhh wait....... I bet you the Motrin I'm taking for the pain is doing this, that has to be it, it's the only thing that's changed in the past week. Tylenol doesn't work with me, don't understand why. If I can't take Motrin what can I take? My jaw and gums are still sore, it's been 14 days today since I had all 4 removed, so I understand the soreness and I'm always smiling and laughing at my daycare children so I'm constantly working my jaw muscle, so it's very sore at night. Wow typing solved that one. GEESH Terry I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. I just wish that He didn't trust me so much. ~Mother Teddy Bear's Early Learning ProgramEstablished August of 1992 From: asthma [mailto:asthma ] On Behalf Of walkinglou2002Sent: Friday, July 25, 2008 1:16 PMTo: asthma Subject: Re: ? Guest guest
I don't do dairy at all milk causes issues with my gut so I don't drink it at all. I don't like cheese. I can't mention about wheat, I will pay attention to what I'm eating, HOWEVER, a daycare Mom point out yesterday that the 2 year old in my care had cat hair all over her dress and asked if she had any cats, It hadn't dawned on me but they adopted a kitten and I'm always getting hugs and snuggle time from this little girl, I wonder if the cat dander and hair on her is cause some of this, even this morning I'm coughing like a seal and wheezing. Guest guest
Yes, I think so! I remember once my cousin came for a visit and she had an open suitcase of her clothes in my room and I started to get terrible allergy symptoms. I realized it was all the cat hair from the suitcase just sitting in my room even though I hadn't even touched it or her clothes. > > > > How many of you have wheezing after you eat a meal? Guest guest
I would just explain and be honest. I am sure a solution can be found. Maybe they could dress her in clean clothes right before they leave the house so there is no cat hair or dander on her. Then when she gets there, you can wash her hands and face to make sure she is as clean as possible. > > > > > > How many of you have wheezing after you eat a meal? Guest guest
Remember that when you are trying to find out if you are allergic to certain foods, some symptoms won't show up for a few days after you've eaten it. So it can be tricky to find out what you are allegric to that way. A blood test would be better, but good luck getting that from your doctor. Guest guest
Terry...maybe you could ask the family of the 2 yr old to keep some clothing set aside for you to wear while shes with you. I would explain that you have asthma and have allergies to the cat dander and you need to keep your exposure to the cat hair to a minimum. If I was approached with this as a parent, I would take steps to minimize my kids interaction with the pet prior to going to daycare b/c good daycare is tough to find and I sure wouldnt want to have to leave. Maybe you could send a generic note home with ALL the parents saying someone in the daycare has been reacting to animal dander and therefore it is necessary for parents to limit their childrens' interaction with pets prior to coming to daycare. A generic letter to everyone doesnt single anyone out and it doesnt give away that you are the one with the issue. It will seem more like an action taken for the kids safety (which it could also be) and parents are more likely to comply. The Famous, the Infamous, the Lame - in your browser.
