Dear Kishor

Gossips will be what they are......

We are busy locating people from our Alumnus who have been long lost from memory

by virtue of them being " Simple " ....but affable, and, some are located in not so

" Hep " ...or easily -on the way- cities, in the nearby areas...

One recent example is Dinesh Gupta(75)...located at Sonam(Punjab)..

There are others who have done PG or have worked sometimes at MGIMS... No less

the Alumni..coz they feel part of us...We have one Sunil Thakur(ENT)

here...These people take pride in " belonging " to MGIMS...and are sincerely

always welcome...

More of these things to come

That's great Sunil! And it will be greater still if you can share some of

the gossip that you must have shared together.

Sure - we'd love to read anything you'd like to write !

While many of us know each other from earlier, some of us have met only on this

site. In fact, I still haven't met Kishoreda in person ! In spite of that, even

my daughter knows about him.

So do write in regularly - and you can be certain that we will all read your

mails ! .

Best,

I joined the group a few months back. I fealt greatly encouraged initially to

reach out to people from my college. And I did send  a few contributions. Then

an overpowering inertia took over. Of course, I read all the posts. There are a

few of you who appear quite enthusiastic about keeping the group vibrant. I

think there is a motive that  explains this enthusiasm: all the people who have

been contributing regularly have established a link (perhaps having known one

another has helped) which facilitates communication.  Sadly, this is  not true

in my case. Anyway, I appreciate everybody who has actively contributed to the

group.

I have decided to shake off the debilitating effects of  the inertia I referred

to. I would lile to post something every week. I would not mind even if I churn

out something ridiculous. Will you? It is not that I do not read or write. I do

a bit of both. My professional work demands a lot of time. I hope I succeed in

doing what I have declared so boastfully.

Dear Bharat

Nice resolution!

In fact I have been wondering in the last 10 days or so whether Shyam, Kishore

Shah and Renuka have gone into '3rd term'!!! or hibernation/aestivation

depending upon where they are living nowadays.I assure u that it is fun reading

some or the other  gibberish about mgims or from a sevagramee. Incidentally I

hate the word sevagramite (gives me the impression of some kind of mite so I

have coined Sevagramee -it ends with mee-giving u  a feeling of  belonging).

Keep writing; share your professional dilemmas/achievements, jokes, succeses,

failures with us.Write about those fellows/fellees who are sevagramees but are

not articulate members of our group and who are in touch with you, or who u hear

about.(many a little make a mickle).Send all the e-mail ids of sevagramees that

is there on your address box.

Dear Dr Mittal,

I am very much here! I am not very vocal about everything that trasnpires here

on this site!

However, there are some issues like raising a teenager (girl), other working mom

issues and of course my field where I think I can contribute my two cents. By

the way I am done with all the exams etc. No more recertification as I have an

unlimited license! So no more 3rd term for me!

Dr Sharma, welcome to this site.Lets start with where are you located and what

do you do!

Dear All

It was an idea which bore fruit due to the desire and commitment from a batch

which had been creating history at all times.

Not long ago we had been saddened by the demise of our friend VC Vaidya and we

had desired that before we " kick the bucket " ...Why not meet again..

33 years is not a " jubilee year " but we could get together in Delhi and relive

our old times....Rajiv Tandon, Ajay Gambhir, Anil Gomber, Kamlesh Gupta, Suman

Yadav, Abhilasha Rohatgi,Santosh Prabhu(who was en-route to SA), Anup Saraiya,

Jitinder Lal Gupta (who flew in from Kullu) and self.

1/6th of a batch was no mean feat considering the fact that it was almost

impromptu... DD Mittal was away from Delhi(Kya karen). Tarvinder from Nagpur,

Rashmi Khare from Bhopal, Sujata Khattar from Shahjahanpur and Vijay Ramdasi

from Satara were there too(On teleconversation) .....

Tejinder from Chandigarh could not make it as his father has recently joined his

heavenly abode(may his soul rest in peace).....

Sewagram is a strong binding force...let us not forget it.. and we are proud to

be " One of us " ....
