Guest guest
Now everybody has become serious on our site so I think lets become a little less serious. One of my extracurricular activity is holding eye camps in rural areas. For these camps, I normally select some central prominent place in the village or some religious place which are normally run by dera chiefs. One advatage of holding these camps in deras is that when chief says that his followers are to come to camp then nobody refuses. Once I along with my team of 10 people reached the village. Dera chief welcomed us, offered us milk ( since he himself took only milk). After the refreshments, we asked baba ji to send in the patients. But patients had not yet come, so we examined the chelas of babaji who were around 20 in number. After second round of refreshments, a patient was seen on the horizon. Everybody became excited that atlast patients have started coming. He had bilateral cataract, we advised him surgery and asked him whether he agees to it. He became quite agitated, yes ofcourse, he agees to it, that is why he has come all the way to this far off place. The only sad part of this camp was that he was the only patient. We brought him to my base hospital with much fanfare and did the surgery. Now in future, I always make it a point to investigate the following of baba before commiting myself.
