Guest guest
Dear NFP Professionals, I am an OB/Gyn resident at St. 's Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis, MO and I will be starting my chief (and final) year of residency in July. My program recently found out that one of our second year residents gave her resignation letter due to personal reasons.. her father is very ill (please say a prayer) and other things.. so we will have an openning for a third year resident this coming July. St. 's is a very Catholic hospital and there are 2 of us residents currently in the program who are NFP-only. There are 5 residents each year and our hospital delivered 8200 babies last year alone! It is a big program with great opportunities especially surgical training. It is a great place to get solid training and practice within the scope of the Catholic Faith. So please spread the word to anyone who may be struggling to get through their own OB/Gyn program!! Now is the time to transfer!! a Garnett <>< Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo! Mobile. Try it now.

Guest guest
Dear a, Thanks for the info. I'm wondering how the hospital handles the contraceptive (presumably) practice patterns of the of the house oficers who aren't "NFP only"? Is the hospital actively recruiting NFP only physicians and only accepting the others contingent on their aggreeing not to do harm by dispensing contraceptives and sterilization? Are patients seeking contraception and sterilization being for example preferentially steered toward the physicians whose practice philosophy ("NFP only") is not going to harm women? I'm curious, since I would want to know what to tell a med student interested in your program, and also since I have become involved in writing a handbook on contraception and sterilization for "NFP only" OB/GYN house officers, to help them in evidence-based dialogue with our non-like-minded colleagues. It would be great to hear back from you on this, as I know of one or two students potentialy interested. Gratefully yours, Dominic M. Pedulla MD, FACC, CNFPMC, ABVM, ACPh Varicoseveins1@...
