Guest guest
May I offer a tip I used for a long period of time with my daughter regarding constipation. I was not comfortable with giving my daughter Colace. I think my experience as a Reg. Nurse and seeing people (especially the elderly)obsessed with their bowel movements, the whole idea bothered me. I found that giving my daughter a Metamucil Cookie after breakfast everyday was the perfect solution. I never said that " it was medicine " , that it would " help her poop " , or anything. Sometimes it is better not to exlain EVERYTHING to a child. I just offered her a cookie...they come in Apple Cinnamon and she loved them! Of course I also increased her water intake and made sure she got plenty of exercise. Just a suggestion...Kate (Mother of 10 y/o twin girls and , 30 months, apraxic)
