Guest guest
I've been reading all these posts on tantrums and not thinking too much on them, but my husband and I took Wiley out to dinner with us tonight and it was pretty bad. He was screaming and throwing things far enough to hit other diners and trying to rip the tablecloth off the table and so on. I finally got him interested in dipping a lollipop in a glass of water. After crayons and playdough and so on went flying into people's meals. Laughable after a certain point and I live in Massachusetts and people are just NOT friendly here to begin with. Just wanted to say I understand and I have the bruises and teeth marks to prove it. Not angry but feel for the little guy. It must be so hard to have all of these thoughts and feelings and not have any way of expressing them except to act out and be further ostracized. Guest guest
These could be complex partial seizures, especially if they are unprovoked. A 24 hr EEG would confirm this. The head banging is probably a symptom of the chaos going on in her head. My son was put on depakote (pre-Dr. G) which was a God-send at the time. As you go through the protocol and quiet the immune system and get viral titers down, this will resolve. Dr. Goldberg doesn't like using " band-aids " like depakote and we have been able to wean our son almost completely off depakote. I could be completely wrong. Just my experience.
