Guest guest
Hi, I am fairly new to this list, but have been using the Solgar MaxEPA/GLA supplements for a few weeks now and my 2.8 yr old son is making progress. I chose this one as it is available locally and the internet site(www.solgar.com) had good things to say about their quality control and listed the possible sources. It is fish oil and borage oil with the following amounts per capsule EPA 180mg DHA 120mg GLA 45mg Vitamin E 25 IU Question 1) Is Borage oil made from eggs - this is listed as one of the sources? My son is allergic to eggs in any form or amount, so this would be a problem and he is showing an allergic reaction right now but I didn't think of the Borage oil as the source. Borage oil seems to come from a lot of possible allergens. Do you know which one ProEFA uses? Question 2) Any one have any negative reports on this company or product? I like that they list all the possible sources of the fish and Borage oil. But of course a negative is that eggs is on the list, and I didn't even realize it until tonight. I may switch over to the proEFA, but just wanted to find out if any one had any negative issues about this supplement. BTW, I love this group, so much helpful information! Thanks to all. Thanks, Carol (mom to Tim verbal apraxia with some fine and gross motor issues, and - 5yrs and - 7yrs)
