Hi Murtaza

Thanks...............have just finished my marathon of Poha and Bhendi bhaji

today...............hope things turn out well...........so far so good.........

Yes here the system is quite different............they have seperate

classrooms for boys and girls ............somehow i like the concept.........so

it is kind of co-ed school with out the nuances of todays

generation..........the school has strict discipline..........but treats

everyone with respect and love...........

the best part is the principal knows every student by the name ( incredible

isnt it)......................they have the freedom to question their teacher

and not be scared of them............fear is encouraged but scare is

discouraged........well i wish this was the same with us when we were

schooling..........

I can understand every expat now ...........like Renuka di had mentioned

..........kids are taught differently these days............

Dear Kishore Da

Thanks again for acknowledging my plight.........yes have changed the subject

now...........

aasawari91

planning not to get out of her bed for the weekend...............tired,

exhausted but still high on life.........

Congrats Aasawari to you both !

Getting admission is not so easy, but schooling is a tough job for the kids

these days....reading about the things and facilities provided, i think...things

will be fine. There the system is different.....I know they have separate

classes even for dumb students ....they call them slow learners....they train

them separately and get them to the main stream...again. We in India call them

duffers and leave them alone. Do we have such a system in India ?? I doubt.

Re: Humor

Dear Ravin Sir

My son shifted from India to Dubai this year along with me......... He was doing

home schooling due to my short time move to chennai..... .....now here he has

received admission in Dubai Modern High School...... .....in dubai admissions

are tough like everywhere else........ ....an entrance test........ an interview

of the student, the parents and all ............ In dubai there is a big group

who runs education efficiently like a business.... ......he is an Indian a

person named Sunny Varky ..........he owns the GEMS group of school......

........a very expensive affair with education... ......... .but i liked the

vision and the way he has created this educational institute... .........

...these are run by highly efficient Principal's and teachers from India and else

where....... ...thus providing a good educational support to kids........ ....

Lets hope its for the best........ ..so far he is liking it.........i mean where

would you have 2 guge basketball field's Indoor and out door........ ....drama

and arts etc with the concoction of concentrated studies..... .so lets hope for

him it works out for the best........ ....
