Hi cockrellmary@...

You had asked the question of how much Pro EFA to start your child on. Most

of us have started our kids on one Pro EFA a day and then some of us have

decided to up it to two. A lot of times there is an incredible surge of

vocabulary and then eventually they continue to do well but seem to be

leveling off in surges so that's usually when we try two. I think most

people would say it has created more positive results going to two

eventually.

I also saw my son 's sleeping experience mentioned in one of 's

posts and people have been asking about the best time to give Pro EFA so I

thought I'd share my experience again. A few weeks after I put my son on

Pro EFA, he began to wake up every night crying. I assume it was due to

some weird, vivid dreams or nightmares but since he was nonverbal, he

couldn't tell me. I almost stopped the Pro EFA because we were really tired

from being up every night and I felt terrible that he was scared and

couldn't tell me why. I stuck it out and after about two weeks, it stopped

and the speech started to explode out of him. I believe that the Pro EFA

was making his brain work in ways that it hadn't previously and that it was

just freaking him out because he wasn't used to it.

One interesting thing to note. I do now give two Pro EFA a day in

the morning. A month or so ago, I decided to try splitting it up and giving

him one in the morning and one in the afternoon. One day I forgot the

second until after dinner and gave it to him about 7:00 pm. That night he

woke me up because he had a nightmare. The next day I gave it to him around

dinner time and again, he got me up in the middle of the night. Because of

this, I switched back to two in the morning and it hasn't happened again

since. I have not heard of many people experiencing this same thing but for

my son, it definitely does something to his dreams if he gets it at night

but he's fine if he gets it in the morning so that's what we'll stick to.

Good luck!
