Guest guest
When people talk about 1979 Batch, the two Sandhus that we had immediately come to mind. They both were likeable persons. In fact, they believed in living life as was the philosophy propagated by our batch in general. However, the similarity ended there. They were different from each other in almost every other respect. One was tall and handsome; the other short. Hence they were known as the 'vaddha' Sandhu and the 'chotta' Sandhu, respectively. They both were the source of endless humour for us. Once the 'vaddha' Sandhu used a percussion hammer to start his bike for a month because he had lost the ignition key. He found the key later: it was under his pillow. The 'chotta' Sandhu was deadly with his satire. It was pure fun whenever they entered into a one-to-one discussion. The whole batch loved them. Unfortunately, the 'vaddha' Sandhu died in an accident in 1990. The other one is alive and well! I am sure his sense of humour will still be intact.
