Guest guest
A couple things about SI I've noticed... First I've seen a slightly better SI system in my son since putting him on the proEFA and Efalex, so I'm thinking it's helping his SI system to organize better. I know that movement is suppose to help them organize senses better. Also- when my oldest son was almost 5 and going to enter school, we took him to Denver for an evaluation at the GDC. (gifted development center) They are the ones that tipped us off to the fact our son was not OCD as we had thought, but had DSI. They told us that while their research was not official or in any database at that time, there was a high correlation to DSI and long inducement with pitocin. Just thought that was interesting. Guest guest
it's sensory integration disorder, or disfunction of sensory integration. it's been confusing with it having the SID, acronym. so most refer to it now by the DSI label. m.l. Have you given your child all vaccines to date, if not which > ones have you given? Yes > Note: got sick with RSV at 6 weeks old. She became dehydrated, had seizures from low sodium. At the hospital, they over corrected her sodium, and caused more seizures and brain damage. We know she has substantial brain damage, and this occurred after she was born. She is an identical twin. Her twin sister, , has some speech problems also. also had RSV and was on a ventilator for 3 1/2 weeks. We do not think she has any brain damage. has some sensory problems, and lots of motor planning problems. Her gross development has been on time. She crawled at 8 months, walked at 13 months, she can ride a two-wheeled bike and she is 5. She can swim and dive. She cannot do finger plays, and of course her speech is limited to mainly one syllable words and some two syllable words and sentences using those words.
