Guest guest
Hi again to all, I have posted on this board a couple of times in regard to my 2.5 yr old daughter who was diagnosed with severe verbal apraxia about 2 mths ago. I would like to mention we have started her on the ProEfa (for about 2 weeks now) but have not seen any improvements. My question is to those of you who have children who have experienced night seizures...as we are wondering if may have some type of sleep disorder and/or night seizures that is somehow causing the verbal apraxia. She often wakes at night and moans and or yells, also thrashes about in her bed, but seems unaware of my presence when I go in to calm her down. Does this sound like night seizures? We thought was possibly having some type of seizure disorder at 7-8 mths, she had an EEG and MRI though, which both came back normal. Only recently have we suspected that now possibly something else is going on. Any comments on this will be appreciated. J
Guest guest
Hi , I suspected night seizures in my daughter, , 8, Downs Syndrome, we did a 24 hour sleep study down at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and was able to rule them out. I think, although not an easy 24 hours, it might the only way to tell for 100% sure. Feel free to contact me personally if you want any further detail. Good Luck! Lillian mcdermott@...
