[ ] Another funny Tanner story!!

I just had to share this with all of you guys to show how the therapies are

still working big time (traditional and EFAs, carnosine, etc.)!!!

I just ran to the

post office -which is in a small shopping strip next to a pizza

place. Tanner wanted a slice of pizza and I told him I'd be right

out. He's at a stage where he wants to do everything by himself so

he said " I'll tell them my mom is at the post office and tell the

man I want a slice of pizza " (he can say all of this-but he at times

holds certain vowel sounds a bit longer -so talks a bit slower)

So I gave him 2 dollars and he went next door. I waited in the post

office and watched instead of following him and going with him (which

is what my husband wanted me to do when I called him on my cell to tell

him). A

few minutes later Tanner walked back into the post office with a

slice of pizza and the biggest smile in the world. He pulled the

change out of his pocket and said " here is your change mommy. I'm a

big boy now that do that, right? " As we drove away -after I

congratulated him big time -I asked " Tanner -did the man have any

trouble at all understanding you when you ordered the pizza? " and

Tanner answered me " No mommy -he spoke the same language as me "

(Should we be collecting all these things for a late talker joke book

or what?!!!)
