Guest guest
Hi, Can someone please tell me where you buy Carnosine? GNC does not seem to carry it here where I live. ALso, how long have most of your children been on the ProEfa before you saw some type of improvements? Thanks for any replys. Guest guest
I couldn't find carnosine at the GNC either, so I'm also interested. Links that were provided before either didn't work, or another was confusing to me. I haven't really researched the carnosine that much yet. I know my son can use it since he eats no meat or meat products. However, I am trying to start only the fish oils first, then see what we need next. I'm wondering if anyone has tried a once a week or varying upping the dose strategy. Say you give your child 1 proEFA a day for 2 wks then for maybe 2 or 3 days give them 2 and back down to 1 for a few wks. Just pondering this. Also- my son started his first few days on Efalex, then we went to proEFA. But as for your question about results and EFAs... it was 2 hours after the first dose that my son began to change. He was different and we thought it was mostly due to his lack of vision. I see now what a huge difference proper nutrition is making for him. Lynn Austin 27 months [ ] Re: Where to buy Carnosine? Guest guest
Sorry to be a pest, but to those of you out there using Carnosine, please tell me where you bought it? Can't find it. Also, can anyone share how long it took on ProEfa before noticing improvements with speech? My daughter has been on for about 2 weeks and I'm not sure we've noticed any changes in her ability to say more words or say the words she knows any clearer. Diagnosis is verbal apraxia. Thanks again. J. --- wrote: >
Guest guest
I saw improvements in motor planning, more babbling, seem to be more aware and " with us " , groping, new sounds (like " o " and " eee " ), moving her tongue back and forth, using signs, answering yes and no w/ head nods. we have heard new words, but only once and never again. All of these immediately. Some children take longer and I wouldn't give up or get discouraged for at least 3 months. (that's how long I hear it can take to start seeing changes) Traci mom to Kennedy 2.0 > >
Guest guest
, I haven't placed my order yet but will for the carnosine. But if you want the one Dr. Chez is connected to , it is called carn-aware and you can get it at carn-aware.com Also, about the proefa, I saw improvements in days but most I believe see improvements in 3 weeks but it can take a few months. There are old posts about this you might want to search. It could also be that using the proepa will give you a better mix. Carolyn
Guest guest
Traci, Many times I have read your emails about Kennedy and thought she was similar to Myra, I guess because of the delayed myelin and theyare about the same age. So you are giving her carnosine, how much per day. I have received the supplement and am trying to get the doctors together to figure out a correct doseage but our Neuro is way slow and doesn't really believe this will work. thanks for sharing your info. I thought all of Kennedy's progress was from the ProEFA. Guest guest
The only thing I give Kennedy is one ProEFA/day and one multi vitamin. I'm also trying to change our diet to include more LCP's. My response was to someone who had asked " how long before you see improvements w/ proefa " .(it just happened to be under this subject heading) I plan on messing around w/ the proefa and epa until I find the best combo and then I will consider other supplements such as carnaware. How long has Myra been on it and how much do you give?
