Guest guest
How many of you use them, and do you feel you get better relief from them? I found one small enough to fit in my purse, actually if I put it in my hand you'd only see both ends if I closed my hands and you take the medicine piece our of the plastic container and put it into this smaller spacer and use it, and the medicine container stores inside the spacer. I used if for the first time last night when I went bowling night, I used it because I knew with my pf#'s being so down that my laughing and such I'd set it off and I didn't want that happenening. I'd love to hear from the rest of you on how you feel it works for you or doesn't work! Terry I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. I just wish that He didn't trust me so much. ~Mother Teddy Bear's Early Learning Program Established August of 1992 _______________________________________ No viruses found in this outgoing message Scanned by iolo AntiVirus 1.5.4.5 http://www.iolo.com
Guest guest
I use a spacer with Atrovent and mine also fits in my purse. Its great and the Atrovent is one of the best inhalers for me. I have other inhalers, but the atrovent with the spacer works well for me. I am a little neglectful about cleaning mine but should be careful to keep the spacer clesn. I think the spacer works a lot better than the regular inhalers. Lou > > How many of you use them, and do you feel you get better relief from them? Guest guest
Genevive I was wondering why you switched from Advair to Asmanex? Do you feel better now than on the Advair? I am asking because I think I might have to switch from Asmanex to Advair, I am not sure it is controlling my asthma as well as it used to. > > > > > > How many of you use them, and do you feel you get better relief > > from them? >
Guest guest
Can I put a sound bite in here? When my dr put me on Symbicort I saw a difference in 12 hours of being on it. I've been on Advair and one other one but found Symbicort to works best for me. we're all the different on how our bodies react to these meds but I hope every one finds the combination that works best for them! Guest guest
I went to my allergy doctor for a check up and he switched me to asmanex, he didn't tell me that there was a black box label warning on advair. I found out about 2 weeks later. He is a good doctor. So last week when I went to see him for a check up on my ear tubes I asked him about it and he said yes he knew there was a warning on advair and that's why he switched me. I feel the same on either. But something must be going on for the good because I didn't take the advair everyday nor do I take the asmanex everyday. I took/take it when I need it. I haven't used my asmanex for a week now. I woke up a couple of times a little wheezy and blew it off and went on with my day and it went away. I don't know why I'm getting this change but I'm welcoming it with open arms. Could be the multi-vitamins I've been taking along with vit. c or me getting older. I drink hot tea everyday and stay away from pop and try to eat as healthy as I can. I have a theory, when I hit puberty around 14yrs I got asthma, allergies, & nasal polyps so I'm thinking it has something to do with hormones? Anyway, I'm pushing 40yrs. maybe when I hit menopause it will all go away...LOL. Just a goofy thought. Everyone is different, what works for me might not work for you. If you get on advair please becareful, there is a black box label warning on it, which is bad. Check into multi-vitamins they will help. Good luck, GeneviveSubject: Re: Chambers/spacersTo: asthma Date: Sunday, July 27, 2008, 8:20 PM Genevive I was wondering why you switched from Advair to Asmanex? Guest guest
NO WAY, I have had so many sinus polyps removed in the past 7 years, and was diagnosed with asthma December of 05. seems to be alot of common dominators here! I am going to see my ENT today, I keep getting sinus infections and with the hole in the membrane from when my wisdom tooth was extracted, she's concerned that something may be in the opening to cause th is go round of infection because I JUST came off of preventive antibiotic from having the wisdom teeth removed. I just pray she doesn't have to surgically repair the membrane, I'm having alot of trouble with my memory since the fall the end of May but I want to swear that she said if I ever had them removed especially the upper left one to have it done in the OR with her present. I didn't remember any of this until last night. I could feel air moving from my sinus on the back of my tongue last night which worries me. Terry I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. Guest guest
Hi Terry, Just having auto-immune disease is exhausting, (just my opinion) Alana > Why does an asthma flair up > make us so tired?
Guest guest
I hope it is changing for you for the good! Unfortunately mine has changed in the last few years for the worse. After the hospitalization I take my Asmanex every day and never take anything for granted with this disease. But like you, I also only developed allergies and asthma around puberty when I was 13, and now I am 36 and I do think hormonal changes have something to do with it. Also like you, I try eat healthy, take a multivitamin, drink tea, no soda or caffeine anymore, lots of water, I do pilates 1x a week. But it is kind of frustrating when you feel you are doing the best you can but you still feel pretty crummy! > > > > > > > > > > > > > > How many of you use them, and do you feel you get better relief > > > > > > from them? > > > >
Guest guest
, have you ever thought of doing a cleanse? I did one cleanse already. It was for someone who's never done any cleansing before, it was a gentle cleanse. The next one I'm going to do will be a little more intense than the first. Then I plan on cleansing my kidneys and liver. Because if you think about it all the meds we take go through these organs and clog them. Then our organs have trouble doing their jobs. Just a thought. Guest guest
Some statistic has been floating about to the effect that asthmatics who start taking Advair have a higher likelihood of dying of asthma. Supposedly this statistic is skewed by patients who (improperly) take more of it when they're having an attack, or by patients who try to stop taking it on their own. I know that if I miss a dose, I start huffing and puffing within a couple of hours, which makes me stop and think: I did, before I started taking Advair, used to have days or weeks without symptoms. I also never got bronchitis before I started taking Advair. (I got it twice shortly after I started it, and, of course, bronchitis set off my asthma the worst way. A higher likelihood of getting bronchitis is one of the listed possible side effects.) I think, though, that my asthma is mostly just worse since menopause. Most of the time Advair seems to do a pretty good job of keeping me out of trouble: except for the two rounds of bronchitis, I haven't had any really serious attacks since I've been on it, which is really good for me. > > > > > > > > > > How many of you use them, and do you feel you get better relief > > > > from them? > > >
