Do Storms flare up anyone's asthma? We were in my sil's garage with the

doors open enjoying crabs for my mil's birthday this evening when out of no

where here come a severe storm, NONE of us knew we were under a warning for

a tornado, however my chest got acting really odd and my barking cough

started. I wasn't expecting the storm or anything else to spark my asthma so

I left my stuff at home which is just a 5 minute walk away, Well I was

struggling to get air in and I gave my car keys to my oldest and told him to

go get my inhaler, No one really knew what was going on but he and I, I know

it's bad, but I try to hid from other's when this is going on because I

don't like to draw attention to myself, My dh knows what I'm doing and stays

with me, and sends everyone else asking away, Anyways, I felt as if I'd run

a lap by time the oldest got back, he came back, left the car running and

came running asking, " Where'd Mom go, she's having an asthma attack " so much

for keeping it quiet. Anyways, dh told everyone it was fine I used the

inhaler twice and drank a ice cold mountain dew and within 20 minutes was

breathing normal again. Has this happened to anyone else? We've had one

storm after another this week and I can't get my #'s above 380, I try to

stay in the A/C as much as possible but even inside when the storms come

through I get like this. Things had gotten so much better and was staying

that way
