Guest guest
Can I ask how does watermelon help to reduce water retention? This is very interesting. I found the Symbicort also raised my BP we did notice yesterday while at the dr's that it was finally back down to normal for me 102/68 but the nurse was concerned with my heart rate, it was over 100, I told her as long as my bp was down I wasn't too worried about it, and as long as it stays under 150 I have no worries, The dr made a comment on the heart rate too saying the last 6 times I've been in there my bp had been high except for yesterday and my heart rate is higher than he'd want, he said it's never been below 120 in the past 6 months. Now with the Symbicort I expected the heart rate to go up, I know the xopenex raises it a bit and the rescue inhalers surely raise it. What has everyone elses experiences with this been? It took my body two weeks being off all the meds from the hospital to even out with the blood sugar. Blood pressure is getting back to normal again, too. that was a side effect from the symbicourt, but it seems my body is getting used to that medicine now and I am back to normal levels. Also have a swollen foot, and was put on Triamterene, it worked like a charm, but the side effects where drastic, severe dizziness and my eyesight got bad, after 3 days on those pills. talked to my doc about it and we agreed to take half of the dose. Watermelon juice also helped to draw water from my leg, plus elevating it. It's only a problem when we have very hot days, it helps to have the air conditioner on and to stay inside. I am going to see my pulmo guy this month and will discuss with him future protocol for hospitalizations. Guest guest
I have a fast heart rate too. My doctor always comments on it. I find it gets faster when I am having an asthma attack. When I feel well it is usually under 80, but when I am not it gets up over 100. I have been like that since before I was diagnosed and that was part of the reason it took four years to get a diagnosis. So maybe it is just part of having asthma and the meds just add to it. My bp is always good, if anything it is lower than they would like. Good luck! My Religion is very Simple.
