Guest guest
Having contracted Lyme in '01 I have an overwhelming 'interest' in avoiding ticks. Since I have seen as many as a dozen deer at a time frolicking around the yard, I really dug into finding something! What I keep at the doorway is either one, or a combo of several essential oils. I spritz all over with either tea tree oil, oil of peppermint----usually both just shaken up in a small amount of water in a spray bottle. Then I read somewhere that oil of palmarosa was a specific tick repellant, so I've put that in another bottle. I spritz with any or all of them. *When* I remember to do this I've never found a tick on me. A few times, in haste, I've forgotten to spritz with oils and last summer there were 3 occasions when I found a tick crawling on me. SHRIEK!! Fortunately I got them before they started dining. Sharon M Now, does anyone out there have recipes for effective tick and bug repellants? Mara
