Guest guest
That doesn't sound good. I have never had that problem, but it sounds like something is going on. Asthma, steriods and alcohol Not that I was ever a big drinker before, but I am noticing more andmore now that whenever I have a alcoholic drink socially, I often feelsuper hot and my heart rate goes up. It has become so uncomfortablethat I do not even want to have a drink anymore, which is a bummer ata dinner or a party when you want to have a nice fancy drink in yourhand and that relaxed feeling that it gives you (or used to, for me).Is this an effect from the steroids with the alcohol? Does this happento anyone else? It never used to be a problem so I wonder why it is now.
Guest guest
it's a combo of things, first I'd stop the drinking, I did it messes with the stuff in your system to control your asthma. Guest guest
Hi . I am on a high dose steroid daily regimin, and due to that I have steroid induced diabetes. Now mind you the diabetes is not that big a deal. Very easily controlled, but I have found that one glass of wine or one mixed drink and my sugar goes through the roof. However, one beer will not affect me like that. The beer has just as much alcohol as the wine. So, my thoughts are that it is the sugar in the different types of alcohol. I am used to having a little wine with dinner from time to time. So, it could very well be the meds instead of the asthma itself. So next time try your favorite beer. It may not make you feel so bad.
