Guest guest
Hi everyone, I have an 8 yo dx'd with autism (the typical story, regression at 18 months after mmr shots, etc.). He's come a very long way on a ton of therapies, including valtrex, which really helped him in just about every area. Problem is, we're nowhere with speech. He's picked up speech twice in the last two years or so when we introduced fish oils but then lost it again. I have been told my son probably has brain inflammation/circulation problems and that there's a good chance he'll talk again if we get these under control. Anyone with similar situation have any suggestions? I had him on valtrex for about six months; it just got too expensive (no insurance) but am considering going back if there is a chance this might bring in speech. I just don't have any idea. I am not a patient of Dr. Goldberg. Marie
