Guest guest
Hi Judy, Welcome to the group I hope you find the support and friendship you need here with us. Sorry to hear about your diagnosis, I remember mine, you’re right it’s not something you forget. I was kind of numb when my doctor told me and just said “oh” and left without asking too many details. My husband panicked though, he was on the Internet non stop for weeks and insisted on me seeing a Rheumatologist. Thank goodness for him! Then when I realized I got scared then angry I’m trying to accept it now but sometimes it is hard. It’s good that you are seeing a Rheumatologist. I will pray that you find the meds to help you feel better soon. Guest guest
((((((((((((((Judi)))))))))))))) You must be scared. I've had nerve problems from swelling in the hips and knees, but thankfully not that bad yet. I do know it can happen, though. Hopefully you won't have MS. I will have you and Ron in my prayers, and keep us informed. Sending much love, Carol [ ] Hi All I have been off line for awhile--had a couple of bad falls over the weekend, and not able to get up the stairs to our computer room. Have an appointment with a specialist as all indications point to MS in early stages, but one doctor thinks it is nerve problems from swelling in the hip and knee joints. Been on large doses of Motrin and sleeping (?) on the downstairs couch. Ron's been having trouble getting his blood sugar regulated, so not very energetic either. But we will overcome!! Debs: Glad you're home, and I pray your recovery will be swift now. Tess: Be sure and love the beautiful woman God created and be good to yourself. Someone once asked me if I would consider suicide, and when I said no, they said I was committing slow suicide with my poor eating habits and overweight. I had tried everything for years, but this really got my attention. Last year when I had a lumpectomy & 3 more tumors removed in 2 months, I decided that if God wasn't giving up on me I wouldn't either. I still have sugar cravings, but it's getting better. Maybe you could find a job as a church secretary--I love doing that! I'll keep you in my prayers too. Gotta go, need to lie down. Love to all, and God bless, Judi
Guest guest
Thanks for the hug, Carol--it must've worked! today is a much better day for both me and Ron. His blood sugar was an all time high--a whopping 85 fasting this morning! He bowled last night and felt good. I just enjoyed relaxing, reading Jan Karon's " In This Mountain. " Good book. I'm still waiting to hear the test results, and I honestly don't think it's MS. At least that's what I want to believe, so as Capt. Picard of Star Trek says, " Make it so! " My daughter had another ultrasound today, and all 3 babies are growing, good heartbeats, and she could see arms & legs! She's battling nausea & low blood sugar, but feels better today too. I want very much to be fit and able to help her when these babies are born in March. Thanks for the support from you and everyone else, Judi
Guest guest
Thanks Judy! I dropped it back down and didn't have any more headaches. Did it make you really tired? Guest guest
Dear Judy...Thanks for your reply. Due to the headaches, I have not been able to get the level of this medication high enough to help so I guess it is not going to do what I need it to do.
