Hello Dear Ones; This needs an introduction. It is unusual because it was written for an actual person with an actual event. No imagination this time- Saturday evening, a lady from the worship center I attend called me and asked if she could come over and if we could do the Chenrezik Puja (a Tibetan prayer for universal compassion done in song form). I found this most touching so I agreed. She came, we drank coffee, then sat on the floor and sang to the Heavens. Afterwards, she was sitting on the couch and started crying very heavily. I felt this pain she was carrying and sat by her to comfort. She declined to say specificly what brought her to tears but I did my best to help with cleavor sentences. I then realized that she needed the strength from the singing and she had chosen me to do it with her. I felt humbled. Sunday morning, I still felt the pain she was carrying and I composed this "poem" which will be given to her next time I see her at the

center. We all have times when we need the company of others. I know I have had my days also. Now that you all have the storyline, here are the words. Planting Flowers The here and now is your and yours alone. Precious person- self labeled as vunerable, seen by others as venerable, graciously accept with all your heart as you inhale the gift of today. Breathe it in slowly, savoring. Every choice and decision you have made up until now has created this now. Though still carrying the scars and wounds life so easily brings, you have overcome! You have made it to become a most beautiful flower. Be proud. Be

happy. Memories are teachers, nothing more. You have become this most beautiful bright soul all by yourself. No one planted you, watered and nurtured you, nor brought you inside on chilly days.. You alone, (as everyone else), have become who you are; Brightness. Fill your pockets and purse with prayers of hope, compassion and healing. Sing them to the Heavens for those who have chosen to live among the weeds instead. But never forget, that it is their choice, theirs alone, whether the songs are heard. By changing ourself, we have changed the world, making it better or worse. A realization which must ome from

within. You have found and practice this. Rejoice in who you are today, not yesterday. Remember our prayers are small in this infinate universe, and, as summer showers produce spectacular rainbows, may any tears you shed become the cause for the same result.
