thanks for the info carol. hopefully she can get some rest and let the meds

work to get her better. can she get the sepsis medication at that hospital.

my mom in law has a friend in indiana who had to be flown to a different

hospital to get it. he had about 2 hrs to go they said. he is doing much

better now. he was about 80 she said. the drug is only made by eli lilly. i

hope debs gets better soon and the prayers are still going!!! kathy in il

Hi Kathy,

I just spoke to Deb and she's had a rough day. She was under the impression

from the anesthesiologist that she'd be receiving general anesthesia, but

they ended up giving her a local/spinal. If she had mentally prepared

herself for it, it might have been OK, but she didn't expect it and it was

an unwelcome surprise.

She said she's on two antibiotics and she's still fighting the sepsis. She'

s running a fever around 101.5. Hopefully now that they've cleaned the knee

up, she will start feeling better.

She's still having pain, but they're giving her IV morphine. Hopefully that

will help soon.

I passed on everyone's wishes and she really appreciates it. Keep praying,

she's not out of the woods yet.

Dear Carol...Did the drs say anything about having to

replace the joint or are they hopeful that the sepsis

will get under control without that drastic measure.

I am; like everyone else, very concerned about Debs'

condition and I am praying for a ring of angels around

I'm glad you liked it, Al. I was looking for a card for Stan and came

across that. I couldn't resist sharing it with the group.

I told Deb that you send your love and and prayers, and it really meant a

lot to her.

As you can see by the greeting cards, my pick of cabana boys/girls isn't so

hot. We really need Deb well so she can bring back the hotties. Like

everyone, I miss her a lot.
