So I stopped taking it. Another doctor explained once you're on thyroid medications, you're stuck taking thyroid for the rest of your life. While that didn't happen to me then, 7 or more years ago, my thyroid is low in last blood test due to my taking Vitamin D 3 which is an antagonist for thyroid and potassium. The way I am handling current low thyroid numbers on blood tests is as follows: Thyroid function is helped by iodine. I smear red iodine on the inside of my forearms. If the smear disappears in a couple hours, my skin absorbed it so I needed iodine. If the smear tajes a day or more to disappear, I didn't need iodine. Whatever you do, whatever happens, you will learn something. toni cf-alliance.tripod.com/ from iPodTouch
Guest guest
Hi , Everyone is so different. Some may be helped while others not, of course. I'm 65 and have been on Bio-identical Hormone Replacement for a couple of years, and don't notice any improvement. I'm also giving myself B12 and Folic Acid injectionss, Testosterone shots, taking vitamins, following the First-Line Therapy Diet, and not seeing any improvement, after 30+ years of this. Guest guest
I didn't know about the D-3 and potassium. I take large doses of D vitamins. I will try the iodine thing. Nothing to lose, much to gain. Thanks for the info. > > > Anyone know if people get improvement from taking T-3 thyroid replacement? Guest guest
Have you ever done any detox? For a good length of time? GG > > Hi , > > Everyone is so different. Guest guest
If you mean using those kits and taking the detox 'products', I could not do that because of some of the ingredients. It's all become very overwhelming now, and more than I can figure out. When I've gone through extended periods of time with stomach problems where I couldn't hardly eat anything, I think I was on a " natural " detox, but it didn't make any difference in the long run. What does a detox do for CFS anyway, especially if this is virus-related. I've had mononucleosis twice, and never fully recovered from the second one.
