My kids used to beg me to buy proactive that is advertised all over

tv. I kept telling them to just drink aloe juice(most acne is

internal) and put it on there face. I finally caved and bought the

proactive. Expensive when 2 teens are using. I was so surprised to

look at the ingredients and see that aloe vera was part of it. Showed

that to my kids. I wouldnt buy anymore, they went through it to

quick. Now my son uses the aloe(drinks when he has big breakout) and

it works great!! He well also take lemon and rub on face, this works

great also!! Jennie<><

That's interesting! Tea tree oil is helpful for the topical issues,

too. But I agree that acne is a sign of something that's not balanced

internally. I'll have to try taking the aloe juice more regularly

myself (only tried it a few times to see what it was like before

giving it to my son!)...

thanks for the info ladies!

I used Proactiv for about 2 years but since the main active ingredient is a medication, I built a tolerance. Now, I can't use it. Aloe and the rememdy sulphuricum works the best. I don't know how much more healthy I can eat - tons of water, organic raw food...but, that's not what we're here for. Sorry for the interruption!! :)

Acne would be considered a gi issue technically!! Have you drank aloe verses just topically? Wish I could say my diet was as good as yours, so many bad habits in our family to break and not easy!! I admit, I focus so much on my youngest that I probably neglect the rest of the family when it comes to diet! I can say, my daughter when at home as teen would not take serious anything I was trying to teach about natural supplementing organic and now on her own and I get calls from her asking about this and that when it comes to natural healing! I just got to practice on myself more what I preach!:) Jennie wrote: I used Proactiv for about 2 years but since the main active ingredient is a medication, I built a tolerance. Now, I can't use it.
