Guest guest
Don't know if it would be the xylitol...?? Maybe a reaction to one of the probiotics themselves? Xlitol is a plant-derived sugar. our new doc (the more holistic one) recommended I use it for baking treats for my DS as we eliminate as much regular ( " table " ) sugar as possible from his diet. You can buy it at a HFS, it's rather expensive. Interestingly, on the label it says it does not alter blood sugar levels like 'table' sugar and that it can have a laxative effect if taken in large quantities. (Marg, if you're reading, this might be an option for you to ask your doctor about?) Overall, my impression is that it is a safe alternative to sugar. My DH uses in his coffee and I've baked a little with it. Even used it in a cucumber salad to sweeten the vinegar dressing instead of sugar. > > My probiotic from Kirkmans has Xylitol, when my dd takes it, her cheeks become rosie........... Anyone? >
