Very well said Shyam...To all those who are not planning to attend...please do

not do the mistake that your previous batchmates... including me did...actually

speaking I was closer to your batch than even my batch...come to think of it you

should have invited me for the reunion...! My sister was visiting from India and

was with us just for a day and a half....nothing made more sense than being

close to family! I did not go for my hospital rounds, missed an official

...important holiday party.....in exchange chatted tucked under the rajai till

the wee hours of the morning ...saw an NBA game...it was soooo good!!! Yes

family and good friends ...!!!

Hello everybody and to the film-lover,Ameet,

Yesterday..I happened..to receive an invitation.. for a family get-together.

..from an elderly Konkani-Karnataka couple..based here..since 1 yr..,but hadn't

yet met other Konkani families..

And..he wrote.

..

" It's a family get-together. .to..get in touch with our roots.and loved

ones...,from our hometown. "

And then today,I happened to watch,the DVD.print... of the Hindi Movie.. " RockOn "

,on special request by my dear biwi,

And.,after reading the note..above. .of the elderly couple..and. .seeing

the..characters. .of the movie,...I felt both had only ONE message to say..

" Never miss..a great moment..to be with your friends..and family..

Never miss..a great moment..to.. live ur dreams..and. .share great times..with

your loved ones..

Because..LIFE. .may afterall,NEVER give us..a second chance.. "

And as,we get ready..to head back..,to Sewagram..in next fortnight's time,trying

to go back in times..and travel that wonderful journey thru the past,25

yrs.....and into the present...., .....I hope,..I am able to..spread this

message...to. .all my friends..who r yet to decide..if,they should come..,for

the reunion/not. .

On,that note,I am not aware..if Kishoreda..had written the review of this movie

out here,....but friends,..if u all have missed..it,do. .sit and watch this

excellently directed and acted movie..,wherein, all the characters.. have come

to life..and more..so,... has Farhan Akthar,who not only has displayed his

directorial skills..in Lakshya,Dil Chahta Hain,Don..earlier. ..,but now..having

acted magnificently. .and sung..Rock songs,very soulfully,I. ..was thoroughly

impressed..by this masterpiece. .of a movie..and his skills.

And..,try and get a good DVD print,folks, plug on ur Home Theatre system..and

watch the movie..loud. ,.and if..u don't fall in love with the music,the

story..and the actors,..THEN. ..PAISA WAAPAS...

Ashish, I am sure that you can join in with the folks of 1984, and they will

welcome you with open arms. What say Shyam, Prabha, etc?

We did have many such 'guests' at our own reunion, and they sure added a lot

of spice to the proceedings.

But seriously, never EVER make the mistake of missing your batch reunion.

You will have all the rest of your life to regret it! Zindagi ke safar mein

gujar jaate hai joh makaam, woh phir nahi aate!
