Marg,

I wonder if the sore mouth is something viral? have you tried any

antivirals or asked a doctor to try to determine if it's a viral thing?

Also not sure if you read the post on xylitol, but it's a

plant-derived sugar & can have a laxative effect and the label on ours

says it does not affect blood sugar like table sugar does - could be

something to ask your doctor about also...? (we bought it as a sugar

substitute for my son's baked goods, etc. so I haven't used it

specifically for a laxative effect - not sure if anyone does?)
