Guest guest
Hi Al, We haven't heard from you much this week, and I just wanted to make sure all is well. Have you gotten the results of your ECG yet? Love and hugs, Carol
Guest guest
Hi Carol, Sorry, I have been pretty busy the past couple of days. My ECG came in and the results are normal. The " theory " is I had a virus of some sort that has finally left. My breathing is back to normal and I have no chest tightness. I am going to stay on 20mgs of Prednisone daily until I see the pulmonologist in a couple of weeks. I will probably taper off and start using Enbrel again after that. So far, I have been in surprisingly good shape without using Enbrel, but it's only been three weeks. Thank you very much for asking. I am also glad to hear that Debs is doing better. She had me scared there for a while. How are you feeling? Is your respiratory infection getting better? I hope so. Guest guest
Hi Al. I¹m happy to hear you are feeling better and your test were normal. You may not be feeling the effects of not being on Enbrel because of the high dose of prednisone. When you begin your taper, you may find you need the Enbrel. I hope you have a painfree day. Guest guest
Hi a, Thank you very much. So am I. Yes, it will be " interesting " to see what happens post Prednisone. I hope this message finds you well. Have a great day! Hugs, Al > >> > Hi Al, > >> > > >> > We haven't heard from you much this week, and I just wanted to make > > sure all > >> > is well. Guest guest
Hi Al, I'm so happy that you are feeling good, and that your ECG came back normal. Hopefully it was a virus, and not the Enbrel. Long term you're much better off on the Enbrel than the prednisone. But I'm glad the prednisone is keeping you comfortable for the moment. I, too, am so glad Debs is doing better. I was really worried about her, and on Tuesday when she sounded healthier I got a better nights sleep than I had since she was first hospitalized. One benefit might be if there's an infectious component to RA, then with all the antibiotics she's on she should get a nice improvement in her symptoms. Let's hope so! My pleurisy pain is still there but improving daily, and the antibiotics are working nicely on the infection. Do you have any big plans for the holiday weekend? Stan and I are just doing things here at home, but it will be nice to have that much time together after all the time we've been apart recently. Sending much love, Carol [ ] Re: Al, are you OK? Guest guest
Hi Carol, Thank you very much. I agree about the Enbrel. I absolutely hate taking steroids, but it's helpped out tremendously. I am keeping my finger's crossed that the symptoms don't return. I guess we'll find out eventually. Wouldn't that be something if Debs came back stronger and feeling better than ever? That's a wonderful thing to pray for. I am glad you are slowly on the mend. You had me worried there for a while also. and I are going to a wedding tomorrow night in downtown Chicago sans kids, which will be wonderful. A little eating, drinking and dancing will go a long way. Sunday and Monday I think we're playing it by ear. Probably have a grill out at some point. That's nice you and Stan will get some much needed time together. I know how important that can be. Take care, Love and hugs, Al
