Guest guest
Goodness, I don't know how I got so far behind on my email. I have just finished catching up on the last 2 weeks. Debs, if you are out there lurking, I am so sorry for all your travails. Hopefully, all that morphine gave you some pain relief. Maybe you could pump the nurses for the names of the best orthos. They usually know who the good docs are and will tell you if you ask. We always joke, here in my neck of the woods, that if we ever have anything serious happen to us, to airlift us out of here to a real medical center. Although said in jest, we are deadly serious. I don't know much about what medical facilities you have available to you, but maybe a top notch facility might be adviseable? I'm wishing you resolution soon and a return to good health. Lynn, I'm so sorry about your news of more surgery. I'm certainly not the one to make light of your situation. I'm right there with you, always worrying that I might die in surgery; during a procedure. I know it is irrational, it's just the way I'm made. Can you get any one to prescribe you something for anxiety? Ativan or valium or something along those lines? I think the worry and fear just add to the problem. I don't think doctors realize how frightened their patients can get. Once again, I don't know what kind of medical facility you go to or exactly where you live. Is there a large teaching hospital or top notch medical center you could go to for another opinion? I had thyroid surgery several years ago. By the time it was time for my surgery, I had driven myself into a crazed frenzy. Prescribing me something for anxiety would have saved us both a lot of trouble. I didn't get any sleep for 2 weeks and I remember asking him if he was going to kill me. Wishing you both the best, Suzanne
Guest guest
Hi Suzanne, I am so worried that I am not going to live. Mainly because I just had major surgery a year ago. I am going to the U. of P. which is a very large teaching hospital. It is suppose to be one of the best. It is were I had my other surgery. My friend told me to get a soothing tape and go for walks. So that is what I have done. Thank you for your advise. Hope things are good for you, Lynn (MeMom) Suzanne wrote: > Goodness, > > I don't know how I got so far behind on my email.
