No, you are not expecting too much! You, as the

patient, have the right to be informed fully about the

procedure you are scheduled to undergo. You need to

get ahold of Dr. to with a list of questions and

ask him everything - he needs to give you concrete

answers to the best of his ability. I know that

doctors cannot promise absolute results from surgery

nor can they say for sure that the surgery will take

care completely of whatever condition you're having

the surgery for, but he should be able to give you

more understanding of what the surgery entails, what

will happen after surgery, and what might be your

status after surgery as far as the problems you are

having now with your stomach. You have all the rights

in the world to ask anything you want and need to ask

of your doctor - it is your life and you are your own

best advocate. Be informed and be prepared for this

surgery. My thoughts are with you, Lynn, I know how

hard this must be for you since you have already had a

very similar surgery before, but, like someone else in

the group said, you will not be in it alone - we'll

all be there with you in heart and spirit.
