Guest guest
I have these books - I ordered them through abebooks.com I would love to have a copy of your thesis, Dr C. What would it cost? I also suggest to any historian of contraception and NFP to get a copy of the book " The Rhythm " . Also, we have a history professor here on the list. I can't remember his name right off but he is in Tahlequah OK and has a lot of resources. alicia paper on contraception >> >> >> Hi Therese! >> >> I will be working on a project for school. Guest guest
I would recommend the book " Catholics and Contraception " by a professor of history at Catholic University of America. See -- Tentler, L.W., Catholics and Contraception: An American History. Ithaca, New York: Cornell University Press, 2004. And: McClory, R. Turning Point - the inside story of the Papal Birth Control Commission, and How Humane Vitae Changed the future of the Church. New York: Cross Road, 1995. The professor of history that is interested in the History of NFP is Professor H. Owen from Northeastern State University - Oklahoma. See: http://arapaho.nsuok.edu/~owen/ J. Guest guest
Dr. Fehring Do you have any recommendations or information on marketing of NFP? Any study groups who have responded to positive marketing? We are trying to help the Archdiocese of Phila with putting together a marketing program for NFP and would like to develop a business plan and need some current stats. Thank you and God bless Les Ruppersberger paper on contraception >> >> >> Hi Therese! >> >> I will be working on a project for school. Guest guest
Louise: Besides the sites and studies that have been mentioned I would recommend that the seminarian be familiar with the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) – NFP Web site and the issues of Current Medical Research (CMR) – especially the issue that abstracts the latest efficacy study on the European double check STM (Winter/Spring 2007 Addendum) and the Marquette Sympto-Hormonal Method and the Randomized Control Trial of the efficacy to achieve pregnancy with an electronic hormonal fertility monitor (Summer/Fall, 2007) . In earlier issues – Kambic –from s Hopkins University provides a nice review of efficacy studies in NFP and compares STM with OM methods. The Summer/Fall 2003 Five year review issue of CMR – abstracts and tables a number of recent NFP efficacy studies. I would recommend that he become familiar with the efficacy study results of the Standard Days Method and the TwoDay Method of NFP/FA conducted by researchers from town University. See this web site for the CMR: http://www.usccb.org/prolife/issues/nfp/cmr.shtml J.
