jaw pain

Hi all,

Just an update on my jaw pain. I went to the walk-in clinic on Thursday evening

because my face started going numb on my right side where the pain was. The

doctor who examined me decided I had " Trigeminal Neuralgia " . He said it would

go away on it's own, but is very painful. If it would not go away on it's own,

they could put me on tegitrol. Because of the pain I was in, he offered to put

me on it right away, but with the side effects I decided not to.

Went to work the next day and by 11:30 my right side of the face was puffy. I

left work early and went home to lay down. By 3, my face was really looking

bad. Larry took me to the walk-in clinic again (all of my doctors were gone).

Now they believe that I have an absessed tooth. I ended up with 2 shots of an

antibiotic and a perscription. He also told me that I can take two of the pain

pills every 4 hours and I can also take advil if needed.

My husband is not impressed with either of the doctors, he's still not sure he

agrees with the latest diagnosis. No tests or xrays were done at all. I figure

I will give this until Tuesday, if things are not better by then, I will get in

to see my regular doctor. At least my right cheek isn't as red as it was

yesturday and I feel a little better today. I spent most of my day yesturday in

bed....it was not a good day. Didn't go to church today...I look like Larry hit

me, even though I'm not black and blue. I am feeling a little better today so I

hope to get some things done around here - you should see the mound of dishes I

have in the sink and on the floor! YUCK!!!
