Guest guest
hi guys, im Beth, 26 and new to the group. ive had was diagnosed with asthma when i was 8 or 9yrs old. didnt really cause me much bother unless i had the cold. but as the years have went on and i became pregnant with my wee girl in 2005 my asthma went haywire. also every time the weather changes, along comes the wheezing followed by the chest infections, antibiotics and steroids plus inhalors. i am a bit on the heavy side now since the baby but i am in the catch 22 of no exercise til the chest clears, which to be honest isnt really ever clear anymore. the summer weather is killing me the now as im sure most of you are feeling it too! so i just wondered if any of you have any tips or suggestions as the current dose of ventolin 200mg 4 times a day, seretide 500mg 2 times a day, prednisolone 8 a day for a week and ciprofloxacin 500mg 2 times a day aint doing anything to help!!! so all help and info welcome!!! p.s. i can still manage a peak flow of around 550-750 depending how i am, apparantly when i get the high mark my asthma cant be that bad, except i cant breathe for the rest of the day cause i did so well, lol!!! p.p.s. only time i get a decent breath is when its cold. the colder the better!
