I believe she already has asthma but your have to "qualify" for these shots, you can't just request it.

I got my blood work done this morning and my chest x-ray, now just waiting to hear from doctor to see if I get the xolair shots.

-I have had four shots of xolair (about to have my 5th) It seems to

really help,b ut I am a non responder to prednisone and build up a

resistance pretty fast to every other kind of steroid they make which

makes my asthma quite hard to treat. I still have a lot of problems,

but it's way better than where I was a year ago

That is good to know. I have been on advair and singulair for about 5 years and I am still using my rescue inhaler 4-6 times a day so it is not well managed. That's when I went to a pulmonologist and she suggested xolair.
