Guest guest Posted December 12, 2008 Report Share Posted December 12, 2008 hi Barb! my dr requested for IgE b/c my asthma is not yet controlled. he even requested for ANA. i believe that is to check if i have an auto immune disorder, thank God the result was negative. the bad news is that my IgE level is 416. i was diagnosed with asthma for more than 20 years now. before i can take the usual steroids together with my symbicort and my ventolin. however, two weeks ago when i was confined in the hospital, they gave me steroids and unfortunately i had the worse allergy. i felt like someone was choking me. my eyelids was so puffy. i was also wondering, how come i used to take steroids before, then all of a sudden i am allergic to it.
