Hi a,

Thanks so much for those smoking links, I’m going to check them out and

send them to my husband (he’s got to stop with me or it will be really hard

:o) Don’t worry I would never want to smack you LOL!

Thanks too for posting the article on the birth defect risks of new drugs.

I’ve stopped taking Celebrex and am only taking 6mg of Prednisone right now

plus vitamins to try and minimize the risks in case I fall pregnant. My

Rheumy has told me that if I do then I can carry on the Pred with no risk

throughout pregnancy – hoping for that much touted “remission” for 9 months

though – wow that would be great!

I hope someone has some news of Debs today.

It’s funny, we’re coming to the end of winter here, I can’t wait to start

swimming again! Although our winters are very mild compared to yours

everything is relative and we find it cold so don’t swim of course, but I

love swimming, especially in the sea! That’s one of the advantages of

living on an island surrounded by coral reefs, the sea is calm like a big

swimming pool and the snorkeling is lovely. I love snorkeling, it is just

so relaxing – I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s a great form of

meditation, your body is totally relaxed, you have to take slow deep breaths

for a long time and your mind is at peace with all the beautiful fish and

sea creatures to watch. And it’s a nice relaxing “sport” for the RA. (I’m a

real ninny when it comes to sharks though – yikes– we don’t get sharks

inside the reefs but it’s always in the back of my mind so it’s not 100%

relaxation but at least 95%! I’m always worried Jaws is just around the

next bend.. de dum ^ de dum ^ de dum ^ dedumdedumdedum ^ ^ ^ : - O ! :-)

But it doesn’t stop me enjoying it, just a little phobia.

It would be great if you had a heated pool, then you wouldn’t have to stop.

I hope you have a lovely day!

Hugs,

Heidi
