Tumeric with High Fat Meal

I noticed that the directions on the web page for Jarrow

Tumeric says to take it with food.

The fact that it is oil soluble is probably the reason for

this. I know when I was taking BHT

which is also oil soluble it was suggested to take it with a

high fat meal, or with a tablespoon

of peanut butter <yum> any excuse to eat peanut butter is

high on my list! LOL

I also used to dissolve 1 teaspoon BHT in 1 tablespoon of

organic olive oil and eat it on a salad

or took it straight with or without a meal.

If you are taking Tumeric and are not sure if there is

enough fat in the meal you could always

just add some oil. I recently tried toasted Pumpkin Seed Oil

-- talk about a

taste treat that is also good for you. It was fabulous on

soup or on salad. High in Zinc and

very good for hormone balancing and prostate health in men.

It was not cheap! But you don't

need much to get a lot of flavor. Would make addition to a

Christmas goodie basket. <smile>
