Guest guest
From: " alloch59 " I have just written my letter to Dr Scadding, of the RSM, as follows: To: Dr Scadding, Dean, Royal Society of Medicine " Dear Sir, As someone who has suffered from ME for longer than 30 years, I find the forthcoming RSM conference on `CFS' on April 28th, not only deeply insulting, but deliberately misleading to the media, and general population. In fact it is a crime against humanity. For many years now the `medical' problem of `ME' (as you insist on calling CFS) has been overshadowed by far, by the `Political' shenanigans between so called medical professionals/advisors and politicians at the highest levels. You have been playing games with peoples lives, and `those in the know' have seen through your smokescreen for a long time now. The game is up. As you well know, there are now well over 3000 published papers supporting the biomedical evidence of ME. How can a conference which states it will take a `broad look at CFS' fail to invite those scientists at the leading edge of ME/CFS research, such as, Dr J. Kerr, Prof.Garth L. Nicolson PhD., Dr Klimas , Dr Komaroff, Dr Dan MD, Dr Vance Spence, and Dr Cheney M.D., Ph.D. This is just a small sample. Yet again, you have chosen to select only those medics who take the view, or perhaps, have been pressured to take the view, that ME/CFS has no biomedical basis, or is in fact a `non-illness'. Can you tell me please, who was it that took the decision to invite the speakers for the conference, and what selection criteria did they use ? Will you publish, or make available a full transcript or minutes of the meeting, for public scrutiny " .
