What a wonderful post. Thankyou so much. I feel this way when I

pass the wooded areas around my home and find that all the trees have

been cut down for money. It saddens me. I love trees and it hurts

my heart to see thousands of acres of woods cut down. I pray daily

that this will stop. Thanks again for this. It really helped me to

feel much better and it helps guide me in how to use my energy. I

hope all the members of this group get to read this. Happy

Thanksgiving to all of you.

You get exactly what you need when you need it???? Thank you....for this is exactly the words I needed at exactly this moment as I came home to escape once again into my computer....thank you.....----- Original Message ----From: elaineweide <elaineweide@...> Sent: Tuesday, November 20, 2007 6:00:29 PMSubject: [] Hopefully some of you may not have been seen this before)

I am new to the group but received this from a dear friend and pass

it along to you. Glad I am in a group.

Subj: Read this and see "Does this sound like me" or "someone I

love"?

People committed to helping others or improving the world, aka

Lightworkers, have very important work to do. Doing the work

requires healthy levels of energy from which to draw. Unfortunately,

it's very easy to reach a depleted state, at which point you can be

of little service to anyone. Many Lightworkers (LW) wait until they

reach critically low levels before they realize they have to refuel.

Somehow they get so focused on what they're doing that they don't

realize the reserve light has gone on in the dashboard. Or worse,

they get beyond reserves and get sick, burned out or depressed.

Rather than waiting for the energy crisis to occur, there are

several guidelines that, when followed, can help you maintain more

even and constant levels of energy.

Boundaries. Healthy boundaries, setting limits, saying "no," and

knowing to define the difference between yourself and someone else

are vital skills for a LW. "We are all connected" may be a wonderful

spiritual principle, but over-responsibility (in you) will breed

under-responsibilit y (in your clients). Know the difference between

healthy involvements with others and enmeshment. You're not

ultimately helping another when your boundaries are blurry, and

you'll be leaking energy as you go.

Work where there's response. Even though you may be able to see work

that needs to be done all around you, what is yours to do and what

is not yours to do needs to be discerned. A very helpful guide is to

work where there's response. When you bring your gifts to the world,

watch for who recognizes and responds to you. That is where you

should concentrate your focus. Where there is no response, move on.

This will keep your energy fresh and alive.

Know your creative field. Each LW has a personal creative field in

which they are to work. Think globally, but act locally in your own

creative field. You can recognize your own creative field by those

people and things that respond to you. Work where there's response

and you'll be cultivating your own creative field. The more you

cultivate your own creative field, the more vibrational power you'll

have access to, within it.

People are designed with free will, so bring your gift without

concern for result. Sometimes it will be easier for you to see how

someone needs to change their lifestyle than it will be for them to

see it. Sometimes someone will outright reject your suggestions to

do things differently. There is nothing wrong with this scenario.

People are designed with free will. You are free to bring the gifts

you have; others are free to accept your gifts or not. Let your love

shine without concern for result. This will keep your energy moving

freely, without strings attached, as it should.

Don't throw pearls before swine. Nothing will gobble up your energy

faster than continually speaking your truth to deaf ears. Or worse,

combative listeners. Some people are better designed to work with

antagonists than others. Many LWs are not well suited for this job.

When it comes to a choice between fighting to be heard and getting

burn out, or choosing to work elsewhere, choose to work elsewhere

when possible. There are plenty of arenas that will welcome your

presence. Focus your energy and attention there.

Bless eyesores. I found that a sure heart-energy drain for me was

seeing dead animals by the side of the road. My heart would ache for

them. For other people seeing trash on the ground does the same. For

others, seeing housing developments does the same. Whatever your

area of sensitivity is, try something new. Rather than aching over

it, or cursing it, try mentally saying, "Blessed be" instead. These

are sad and neglected parts of the landscape. Be willing to be a

blessing here. Rather than feel helpless, hopeless and victimized by

the sight, switch the polarity of the energy and bring blessing

instead. You'll be shining light into a badly needed area, and

you'll be patching up an energy leak in yourself that needs to be

addressed.

Be vigilant about guarding your own precious energy reserves. It's

wonderful to be loving and helpful to others, but remember to model

healthy self-care for them as well. If you're running yourself

ragged, while telling others to be healthy, how effective can that

message ultimately be

When it comes to a choice between fighting to be heard and getting

burn out, or choosing to work elsewhere, choose to work elsewhere

when possible. There are plenty of arenas that will welcome your

presence. Focus your energy and attention there.

Bless eyesores. I found that a sure heart-energy drain for me was

seeing dead animals by the side of the road. My heart would ache for

them. For other people seeing trash on the ground does the same. For

others, seeing housing developments does the same. Whatever your

area of sensitivity is, try something new. Rather than aching over
