Guest guest
Hi Vikki, I'm so glad you are feeling a bit better. I know how you feel about the Pred but am very happy it's given you some much needed relief. Just remember that you need to rest when you feel like this, there's no point pushing yourself, just try to take it easy. Sending you ((((((hugs))))) and hoping the Remicade kicks in soon! Guest guest
a, I don't think it's packaged differently - they just refer to # of vials instead of # of milligrams. I had another infusion this morning, and finally asked how many milligrams I am receiving. It turns out to be exactly what you said - 400mg (4 vials). If the benefits wear off again after 6 weeks, he plans to increase the dose to 500mg next time. Vikki Re: [ ] vikki , Each Remicade vial contains 100 mg so you are getting the equivalent of 3 vials. http://www.rxlist.com/cgi/generic3/infliximab_ids.htm I'm not sure why it is packaged differently for you. Are you getting it through the military? a
Guest guest
Vikki, are you taking MTX or any other DMARD, too? I hope this infusion lasts a longer time for you. Guest guest
, I'm taking 20mg MTX, 5mg prednisone and a variety of other medications & vitamin supplements including Foltx, a B-vitamin supplement to counteract hair loss - one of the many little side effects.) I now have a nice little thin crown that I have to do a comb-over on. Luckily, my daughter is a beautician and taught me how to do it... Isn't this fun?!! Guest guest
Vikki- I don't think it is unusual for the increase. My doc said that she was increasing by 100 mgs on the 22nd to see if it would put my RA in complete remission. Hope it works well for you. Guest guest
Vikki, said she was getting hers in one bag that contained 300 mg rather than the vials. That is why I thought maybe it came packaged differently. I hope this infusion brings you relief. a > a, I don't think it's packaged differently - they just refer to # of vials > instead of # of milligrams.
