Hi everyone,

There has been a problem with my email for the last 3

days so I have missed your posts. sent me an

email to let me know what was wrong which was good

because I had not gotten around to trying to find out

why there were none.

How is everyone (Debs and )? I hope you have all

had relaxing weekends. It has been raining here all

weekend which is great because it hasn't rained in a

while. The rain tends to turn me introspective and I

tend to wallow in a bit of depression. I really need

to find a new job! Staying home alone is not good for

me even though I always thought I couldn't wait until

all of my children were in school and I would want to

enjoy the quiet.

Today I begin to double the dosage of sulfalazine. So

far I haven't noticed any side effects. I received a

letter from the Rheumy which was easier to understand

than it was when talking with him. He has diagnosed

seronegative spondyloarthropathy/reactive arthritis

with local sacrolitis of the si joint. Most of the

painful stiffness in the morning is better however the

pain radiating down my leg and the shooting pain with

hip going out when I walk is the same. I am going to

see an ortho that specializes in si joints that my

knee ortho has recommended for me to see.

Why would my platlet count be higher than normal?

What are Herberden's nodules? I would appreciate any

information you have.
