2nd Remicade infusion

Hi All,

Just wanted to let you know that my infusion on Thursday went very well. The

nurse got the IV on the first try and there were no problems after that. I

shared a room with a lady who was having an IV for osteoporosis. She had a

double lung transplant 2 years ago and was very interesting. My sister was

working at the hospital where I was on that day so she came down from the

dialysis unit and sat with me for awhile. Before I knew it, the IV was done

and they were kicking me out. I feel pretty good except for being tired. I

have very little pain and that is in my right elbow and shoulder. My knees

feel great. I have actually " walked " up steps over the weekend instead of

taking them one at a time. It has been so long since I have been able to do

that. My knees are weak from not being able to work them like that. But it

feels almost normal. I am extremely impressed with this medication. It has

made such a positive influence in my life in the past couple of weeks.

By the way, I have been reading all of the posts, even though I haven't been

writing back. I think I may have a combination of a little of Tess's

gloomies and fatigue. I hope that it is only the anemia that is kicking my

butt lately. I have been trying to eat more iron rich foods, but most of the

time I just don't have the energy to cook. I have looked into prepared

foods, but most of them are full of carbs, fat, and sodium. Oh well, I'll

figure something out.

Love and Hugs
