Guest guest
Hello All, Have a 38 yo female patient with a hx of mono and chronic fatigue 1 yr ago. She received high dose IV therapy for two weeks at that time, regained a lot of energy, then had pneumonia for 2 weeks thereafter. She came in to see me three weeks ago with similar ssx of the mono and fatigue seeking treatment. She is Type A personality, anxious, stressed, working nonstop on the Obama campaign (yeah!). She gets an erythematous flaky rash above her eyelids and at the sides of her mouth with stress and fatigue. She gets incredibly fatigued with white hue under the eyes. We've done bloodwork, nothing significant showed and we decided to treat the chronic virus. I began with IV treatment, high dose Vitamin C, to get her back on her feet. Then we began Mycosurge, a high potency mushroom liquid and acupuncture. Shes also doing fish oils, probiotics. Three days ago I began her on the high dose Vitamin A protocol (3 days 500,000 IU Vitamin, decreasing the dose by 1/2 every 3 days). Within two days she had developed a big flaky rash, several inches wide, on her neck and right sided flank pain. She immediately stopped the Vitamin A as per my instruction. Is there anything else I should be doing? I am now considering the kidneys, considering her R sided flank/back pain. What about the rashes? She is away campaigning right now so I can't assess her in the clinic until next week. Guest guest
I would make sure she's doing all she can to support elimination (BTG, COP, etc). PCHF Epstein Barr drops can aid her body to react and respond to chronic EBV. N.D.
