IF i were you I would want the test done for the Hashimoto's

Having the auto-immune disease and having Hypothyroid disease in MY

mind are two different things.

In the hypo you have a sluggish thyroid.

In auto-immune you have your body trying to kill off your thyroid

gland.

I would want to know, so i could begin to do some things differently,

depending on the results of the test.

I am happy you have foudn a doctor, for now, that you feel good

with :-) That goes a LONG way in the long run when you're sick and

trying to find out some answers.

I'll follow along on your progress.

info.com yesterday. fyi, I am a very borderline case. My initial

test results:

> T4: 1.01

> TSH: 2.73

expensive conditioners....I use retin-A to keep my skin clear. I get

my morning jolt of caffeine to get me going... So I figured he would

blow me off. I thought " God, please let him have an open mind... " .

my throat during his exam. So when he left the room so I could put

my shirt back on, I just knew I had wasted my time.

numbers were NOT normal...when combined with everything I was telling

him. He diagnosed me with Primary Hypothyroidism and ordered a

thyroid scan and gave me a script for some levothyroxine (did I spell

that right?). I just couldn't believe it!!!

Hashimoto's (red, sore throat with swollen lymphs). But he didn't

order a blood test to look for the antibodies. Should I be concerned

about this? Or maybe it just doesn't matter...since treatment is the

same anyway... Let me know your thoughts on this. Thanks...
