Guest guest
Hi Kathe, Your farm sounds dreamy, I'll have to ask you for some tips once this is finalised on looking after my ducks, the rest of the animal family will have to wait till I have more time/money but I'm sure ducks are a good start. We have 21 dogs by the way - hunting dogs, I love them to bits, they're beautiful, kind of my kids for now. Hugs, Heidi _________________________________________________________________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com
Guest guest
Sue: My doctor feels that I am a very good candidate to really benefit from Embrel. I would like to try it because it is supposed to not only help the pain and inflammation but also help with the fatigue. I am sure that it, too, has liver side effects, but taking the methotrexate and arava both kind of worries me as far as a double whammy of liver stress. I am also developing cataracts, worse in the right eye, and want to avoid Prednisone as much as possible. The last time I took it was during a very bad flare and I took it only for two weeks. My eye doctor thinks that the cataracts are a result of the RA, not necessarily the medications, but the meds don't help either. I started out on 10 mg. of mtx per week, then upped to 12-1/2 mg., and now am on 15 mg. Then she added the Arava. The Arava has always been at 20 mg. daily. I am doing well on these meds but would like to give Embrel a shot (no pun intended) when it is available again.
